Airborne LiDAR

Tallow Africa offers state-of-the-art airborne LiDAR surveys to produce accurate point clouds at high point density.

The company employs the latest LiDAR technology, equipment and software from Leica Geosystems in Heerbrugg, Switzerland.

The Leica ALS80 LiDAR scanners offer pulse rates of up to 1 million points per second, which leads to high levels of detail being surveyed. This adds richness to the point clouds which increases the number of suitable applications as well as the vegetation penetration capability of the system.

Airborne LiDAR is a cost-effective technology for the rapid collection and processing of comprehensive, accurate survey data sets. Data capture rates exceeding 100 kmĀ² per hour are achievable.
